Första veckan i oktober kommer Gill Cleeren till Sverige, sponsrat av Telerik, för att prata om Silverlight 4.
Agenda:
18:00 - 19:00
Databinding in Silverlight 4 Deep Dive (300)
Building enterprise applications with Silverlight almost begs for rich databinding features. While Silverlight 2 already had an extended set of features available to enable databinding, Silverlight 3 and 4 add on these and extends the databinding platform. In this session, we'll do a deep dive in Silverlight data binding. We'll also look at doing databinding from Blend 4.
19:00 - 19:30 Migel och fika
19:30 - 20:30 Silverlight data access and services not for the faint of heart ( 400)
For data needs, Silverlight can talk to services like WCF or REST enabled services. These service types are sufficient for most scenarios. But what if it isn't? Most examples that can be found out there cover the basics, but in the real world, that's sometimes not enough. In this session, we'll explore the dark corners of Silverlight’s service access. The following topics are covered:
• How to implement duplex communication with services
• Accessing data on REST services with a locked down crossdomain file
• Debugging of services
• Using the HttpWebRequest for more advanced data access than the WebClient
• The ClientHttp stack
• Using ASP.NET authentication to get access to services
• Accessing services over TCP
• Net.tcp binding
• Securing service access
